Challenge 60 for Earth Hour

We are shining a spotlight on nature loss and fundraising for a brighter future!

Whether it is 60 seconds, 60 minutes or beyond the hour, every workplace can take time for nature this Earth Hour.

Our team is taking on Challenge 60, joining the world’s biggest movement for nature. By giving our 60 minutes and raising vital funds this March, we are helping to protect and regenerate nature so that people, wildlife and future generations can thrive. Every minute we move shines a light on the nature crisis and shows what is possible when workplaces come together with purpose.

From the 1st March – 28th March the Mercure Canberra Team are committing to moving 60 minutes a day. Together as a team we are aiming to raise $500 by:

  • Moving for 60 minutes a day
  • Walking 60,000 steps a day as a team
  • Lunchtime Challenge: well-being walks out in nature while collecting rubbish around the streets of Canberra
  • Bake Sales for fundraising
  • Team wellness activities

Our Challenge 60 will culminate on the 28th March, when Mercure Canberra will participate in Earth Hour 2026. Find out more here.
