Ginsights is an informal literary event held regularly in the Carlton Lounge at Olims Bar and Bistro. Guest authors from Canberra, our region and other parts of Australia share conversation and cocktails with the keen readers of Canberra. Paperchain bookstore staff come along to sell copies of the authors books. Olims Bar and Bistro will be serving a cocktail of the night featuring Big River spirits and a Big River G&T, in addition to their usual selection of drinks and dining options.

Ginsights is delighted to host Natasha Lester – New York Times bestselling and award-winning author of ten internationally acclaimed novels, translated into 21 languages worldwide. Known for her richly drawn stories of women forging their own paths in extraordinary circumstances, Natasha brings her captivating voice to this special event. Joining us as part of her national tour, Natasha will introduce her stunning new novel, The Chateau on Sunset – a reimagining of Jane Eyre set against the glittering yet shadowed backdrop of 1950s Hollywood.
The evening will feature a formal Q&A, followed by relaxed, informal conversations over drinks. Our event bookseller Paperchain Bookstore will have copies of JP’s books available for purchase and signing. Olims Bar & Bistro will offer a cocktail of the night featuring Big River spirits, alongside a Big River G&T and their full menu of drinks and dining options.
All are welcome to come along to join this informal reader/writer conversation co-sponsored by Big River Distilling Co, Canberra Writers Festival and MARION.
