Canberra Short Film Festival

The Canberra Short Film Festival is back this November and is celebrating its 30 Year Anniversary! The festival is a premier celebration of short filmmaking, showcasing a diverse range of stories, talent, and creativity from both local and international filmmakers. Each year, the festival brings together film enthusiasts, industry professionals and artists for an unforgettable program of screenings, Q&A sessions and special events.
The Canberra Short Film Festival is held at multiple iconic venues across Canberra, including Dendy Cinemas, only a 12-minute walk from Mercure Canberra, the National Film & Sound Archives of Australia and Palace Electric Cinema.
Dates & Programs
The festival runs over 15 days in November with sessions designed to showcase:
- International and Australia Short Films
- Student and emerging filmmaker categories
- Documentary, animations and experimental cinema
- Local ACT Talent
