Floriade 2025

Floriade is one of Canberra’s most highly anticipated annual events, attracting thousands of visitors each year. In 2025 Floriade is celebrating its 38th year, with over one million beautiful flowers transforming Canberra’s Commonwealth Park into a vibrant canvas of colour and creativity. Floriade is Australia’s Biggest Celebration of Spring, a must see-event for anyone visiting Canberra.

Floriade is a free daily event, with gates opening at 9:30am and closing at 5.30pm. This year’s program will be bigger and better than ever with art exhibitions, entertainment, family-friendly events, music, food and drink, a range of artistic and horticultural workshops, markets and more!

In 2025, the theme for Floriade is “Science and Nature”, transforming Commonwealth Park into a dynamic space of discovery and learning. The garden bed designs will draw inspiration from the most recognised scientific fields of physics, chemistry, astronomy, biology and botany, embodying the excitement and adventure of experimentation and pursuit of new ideas.

Floriade After Dark – NightFest Returns

Floriade’s dark side, NightFest, will also return in 2025, with a range of exciting program after dark entertainment and horticultural illuminations. Running from Thursday 2nd October to Sunday 5th October, this is a ticketed event with gates opening at 6:30pm until 10:30pm.
